Log to Zapier.com, go to to “Zaps” tab in Zapier and click one the blue “Create Zap” button:

You can name your Zap in the left, upper corner to find it easily later. Let’s say you want a new application in Traffit to result in a Slack notification.

In this case, in the first step called “Trigger” choose the app in which the event will occur - that will be Traffit. Click “Traffit” to choose the app from the list.

Choose the trigger from the list. (The list of available triggers is visible here). In this scenario choose “Candidate added” from the list.

Click on the blue “Continue” button.

Zapier will ask you to choose your Traffit account like here - if it was already added - or to add it:

Next, Zapier will ask you to test the trigger. Click on “Test trigger” button. A “Testing” notification will appear. Zapier will find an example candidate in your Traffit you have to confirm. If everything works fine, click on the blue “Continue” button:

The second step is called “Action”. Choose the app you want to be integrated with your Traffit here. In this case, that will be Slack:

Next, Zapier will ask you about an action event, that will be triggered by a new candidate in your Traffit. Choose “Send channel message” from the list:

Click on the blue “Continue” button afterwards. In this case Zapier will ask you to login to your Slack account:

After you login, Zapier will ask you to authorize the connection:

Click on the green “Allow” button. Then, click “Continue”:

In the next step you can:

  • choose the Slack channel you want the notification to appear at

  • type in the content of the message

Both of the fields are required. The message text can include some fields from the candidate profile, like name, last name or the candidate’s e-mail address:

The example message will look like this:

Click on the blue “Continue” button on the bottom to save it. At this step Zapier will also ask you to test the connection. It allows you to:

  • Test and review

  • Test and continue

  • Skip test:

After testing the Zap, click on the blue “Turn on Zap” button. Zapier will inform you that the connection was set up successfully and your Zap is Turned on:
