Why should you customize your job data?
The fields you put on the job data in TRAFFIT will be available for all your users.
Every field you put there will become a filter, allowing you to filter and sort jobs based on this attribute.
All the fields you put in your job data can be available via API and can be put on your career page.
How to do that?
Go to Settings -> Custom fields configuration -> Job -> Job data:
The right menu allows you to choose new fields to be put in job data:
Defined fields - system fields, collecting data used in other parts of the system (described below).
Empty fields - that can be customized however you want.
Sections - allowing you to add sections to organize your jobs' data.
You can place the fields and sections in the job data using drag'n'drop:
If you want to add a new section to your job data, drag'n'drop it first to be able to add fields to it. After putting a new section to your job data you can change its name or assign a color to it:
If you add a new field to the job data, your TRAFFIT will allow you to choose:
the field size
if a value in this field is required
if this field will be available in the API (for empty fields):
Defined fields
These are the fields used by other parts of the system and on which their logic is based.
Only "Job title" defined field is required in the job data.
Optional defined fields (examples):
a) Reference number - a uniquie job's ID, allowing you to differentiate jobs with the same title on the list.
If you put this field in job data and the user creating a new job doesn't fill it in, it will be filled in automatically with a unique number.
b) Remote job - checkbox type of field. Required for job posting on Linkedin Jobs.
c) Client - it will be available only when CRM module is turned on. It will allow you to assign a client from your CRM to this job.
d) Job type - a field with a dictionairy assigned, allowing you to choose a value from a predefined list:
Empty fields
You can customize your job data with empty fields, configured however you want. Types of fields available:
a) Text
Allows you to enter a short text.
b) Long text.
Allows you to enter a long text.
c) Number
Allows you to type only a digit or multiple digits, with no letters or special characters.
Example: "Number of vacancies".
d) Checkbox
For Yes/No type of questions.
Example: "Remote work offered".
e) Radio button
Allows you to choose one option visible on a list, all values visible at first glance.
Example: "Hiring requested by"
f) Select
Allows you to choose one value from a predefined values list.
The list can:
be typed in - manually,
come from a dictionary.
You can set up dictionaries in Settings --> Dictionaries or use our default dictionaries.
Example: "Salary paid:"
g) Select multiple
Allows you to choose one or more values from a predefined values list.
The list can:
be typed in - manually,
come from a dictionary.
You can set up dictionaries in Settings --> Dictionaries or use our default dictionaries.
Example: "Languages required"
h) Date
Allows you to choose date (day, month, year)
Example: "Vacancy to be filled until:".
i) Date and time
Allows you to choose date and time (hour, day, month, year)
Example: "Date of posting the job on career page".
j) File
Allows you to upload 1 file up to 25 MB.
Example: "Hiring Manager's requirements"
k) Files
Allows you to upload more than 1 file, up to 25 MB each.
Example: "Client's requirements and framework contract"
l) Location
Field based on geolocation. Adding it to your job data will result in 2 new fields appearing:
Country
City
You can define the default value for Country field, that will be filled and editable. It will allow you to filter jobs basing on the location and distance (in kilometeres).
Example: "Job location".
m) Link
Allows you to same links.
Example: "Link to client's website".
IMPORTANT
Every time you change the configuration of your job data, remember to use the blue "Save" button to save the changes and reload the system so that the changes are applied to all your TRAFFIT users:
