What's a dictionary in Traffit?
A dictionary is a set of defined values that can be assigned to a selected field in Traffit. One dictionary can be used in several fields to guarantee data consistency in the system.
Example: the “Industry” dictionary, which can be used both on candidate profiles and in the job data.
If you use a dictionary in a field available on a candidate's profile, it will also be presented on the application form, if you include the field in it.

You can use dictionaries in the
single-choice fields
multiple-choice fields
radio buttons
How to add a new dictionary?
To add a new dictionary, go to Settings > Dictionaries and click on the blue “Add new dictionary” button in the upper right corner of the page:
Enter the name of your new dictionary and click Save.
Next, enter the values nto your dictionary using the “Add Values” button.
Each time you enter a value (which can be 1 or more words), hit Save:
How to import dictionary fields?
If the list of values is long and you have it in the .xls or .csv file - you do not need to enter them manually. You can import the list!
To do that, use the “Add values from file” button:
The file weight should be less than 1MB. Drop the file here:
If the values visible in the loaded field are already on the list - they will be ignored during import (no duplicates will be created).
The system distinguishes between lowercase and uppercase letters.
How to assign a dictionary to a field?
Once you have created a dictionary, you can assign it to a checkbox placed:
on the candidate's profile
on the job details
on the customer profile
on the contact person's profile
To do this, go to Settings > Field Configuration and select where you want to use the dictionary.
Click on the field, then select Dictionary and choose it from the list:
Can you edit the values in the dictionaries?
There are two types of dictionaries: dictionaries defined by us and without the possibility of editing (system dictionaries) but with the possibility of adding your values, and dictionaries created independently by you from scratch.
In the dictionaries that you create independently, you can freely:
add,
delete,
edit values.
For system dictionaries, you cannot edit them or you can add (and edit and delete) new values, but you can't delete or edit values that are in it by default.

If you edit the value of a field in the dictionary, it is also updated where it was used.
