This sourcing plugin is an extension of the TRAFFIT recruitment system that improves sourcing candidates for specific positions and for building your candidate database.
As a TRAFFIT user, you can download it for free and install it in your Chrome browser! The plugin is unlimited - there is no limit to the number of candidates you can add to your database with it.
How to install TRAFFIT sourcing plugin?
To use the sourcing plugin you need:
Chrome web browser (compatible with the plugin),
a user account in TRAFFIT (does not apply to Hiring Managers' accounts).
You can download the plugin from Chrome Store:
To install the plugin, click Add to Chrome in the top right corner. A message on the screen will appear asking for your permission to add the plugin to your browser.
Click Add extension.
The sourcing plugin will be listed in your browser, on the list of available extensions. You can pin it to the list so that it is always at hand (recommended!).
The first time you visit one of the sites with which the plugin is compatible - a 4-step tutorial will be launched, and at the end, the plugin will ask you for authorization.
To do this, enter the address where you log into the system and log into your TRAFFIT:
The language of the plugin will adapt to the language of your browser.
Voila! The plugin is ready to be sourced together!
Where can I source candidates with this plugin?
You can use the plugin and source in 2 modes:
AUTOMATIC
The data of the viewed candidates is loaded automatically by the plugin. This means that the plugin launches when you opem the candidate's profile and the basic data about the candidate is automatically filled in.
This mode works on LinkedIn.
MANUAL
You can launch the plugin in your browser and complete the candidate data manually - directly in the plugin.
This mode works on the following pages:
Facebook
Instagram
TikTok
GitHub
X
Dribbble
Wykop
Behance
Stackoverflow
Even if you are using the automatic option, you can switch it to manual mode using the plus icon "+" in the top left corner of the plugin:
How to add candidates to TRAFFIT with the plugin?
To add a candidate to your TRAFFIT using the plugin, go to his profile on the chosen website. Click on the plugin icon in the list of extensions or on the label on the right:
If you do that on LinkedIn, the data will be downloaded automatically.
You can edit or complete the data downloaded automatically before saving the profile in the system. You can also assign the candidate to a specific job and add consents in the plugin - if you are sourcing talents for a specific job!
For the other sites, fire up the plugin and complete the data manually - using the blue Add Candidate button after filling in all the data you want to save.
What candidate data can be saved with the plugin??
The plugin allows the following candidate data to be saved and updated:
first name
last name
e-mail
telephone
location (if you use this field on the candidate's profile in your TRAFFIT).
The plugin also allows you to add to or update the candidate's assigned:
tags (one or more)
talents (one or more)
What is more, the plugin allows you to:
add a note,
view the notes added to a candidate,
assign a candidate to a job,
check the candidate's jobs history in the system,
assign consents to a candidate (available when adding him to the system),
moving the candidate to the next stage of the process.
How to update the candidate's data with the plugin?
The plug-in allows you not only to add candidates to the database but also to update the data of candidates already available in it.
The plugin shows you that the data downloaded differs from the data saved in your system. If you want to update the data, click Save at the bottom of the plugin:
How does the plugin recognize who is already in the talent pool?
The plugin attempts to recognize the candidate in the database by the following parameters:
by LinkedIn ID - if the link is visible on his profile in TRAFFIT
by e-mail address.
If it finds a perfect match according to any of the above parameters - it will link it to the candidate's profile you are viewing on LinkedIn and load it in the plugin.
Otherwise, the plugin may suggest profiles in your database that can match the profile you are viewing on LinkedIn. Profiles are recognized by:
phone number,
first name+last name combination (Polish characters are distinguished),
You can then manually select the profile to be uploaded or ignore the suggestions and add the profile as a completely new candidate:
How to change the position of the plugin?
Launch the plugin and click on the gear wheel icon in the top left corner:
In these settings, you can choose the view that is most comfortable for you and the position of the plugin in your browser (left or right):
How does the plugin make team sourcing easier?
Self-sourcing and adding candidates to the database are not the only benefits of using the TRAFFIT sourcing plugin.
Recruiting teams using the plugin can easily check whether:
the candidate is already in your database,
the candidate is assigned to a process,
the candidate has already been in some processes in your company,
the candidate already has some tags assigned,
some important notes have been added to the candidate (as in the example below, where the candidate does not wish to be contacted until a certain date),
without having to search for his or her profile in the system.
This improves communication within the recruitment team and avoids situations where several people from the same team are trying to recruit the same candidate at the same time - what candidates consider unprofessional.
What settings & permissions affect the plugin?
The list of fields and options visible in the plugin can be influenced by settings and permission groups. These are:
access to my recruitments only - affecting the list of visible jobs,
access to confidential recruitment - affecting the list of visible jobs,
requirement to assign at least 1 tag to a candidate when creating a profile - blocking saving a new candidate to the database without assigning a tag or tags.
How to recognize candidates saved with the plugin?
Candidates added to the database with the plugin will have:
"extension" as the candidate source
the name of the website visible as the application source, with the addition of 'extension' - e.g. "linkedin.com (extension)"
