Before you start adding your Gmail account to TRAFFIT, you need to follow these simple steps:
STEP 1: Enabling IMAP access in Gmail
To do that, log into your Gmail inbox and go to Settings. You can do this by clicking on the gear wheel icon in the top right corner and choose See all settings:
Go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and find IMAP access section.
If it's disabled, click Enable IMAP:
STEP 2: Enabling two-step verification in Google account
Return to your mailbox and click on your avatar in the right upper corner. Then, choose Manage your Google account:
Visit the Security tab (in the left menu) and go to How you sign in to Google section.
Check if the two-step verification is on:
If it's not - turn it on. When you turn it on, you will receive an SMS with a verification code.
Type it on the form:
Your Gmail will ask you to confirm you want to turn it on:
If everything was done correctly, you will see this information:
STEP 3 - Generating a unique Gmail password
You need to generate a unique Gmail password for TRAFFIT integration in your Google settings. Click HERE to do it.
Choose Other (Custom name) from the dropdown list.
Add TRAFFIT there:
Click Generate - a unique password to your mailbox will appear:
Leave this tab open - you will need this password in a moment 😉
STEP 4 - Integrating your Gmail with TRAFFIT!
Go to My profile again - by clicking on your avatar in the bottom left corner. Choose Mailboxes tab.
Use the blue Add mailbox button:
If you want to add your Gmail mailbox to TRAFFIT as a system mailbox (not a personal one) - Go to Settings > System mailbox and continue with the steps described below

Next, choose IMAP mailbox type:
Click Next and type in your login.
IMPORTANT!
Use the unique password you've generated in the 3rd step of this article (not your regular mailbox password):
The next step requires you to type in your server's data. Use the following
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
IMAP port: 993
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP port: 587
Click Next.
In the last 2 steps, you can:
choose the folders you want to integrate (you don't have to integrate your full mailbox!)
prepare the signature you want to be attached to the e-mails you are sending directly from TRAFFIT.
And you're ready to go!
IMPORTANT!
If the list of available folders is empty when integrating the mailbox, go to Settings > General Settings to the IMAP Settings section and check that your TRAFFIT administrator has not restricted the list of folders available when syncing the mailbox:
