Your talent pool is a database of candidates from all possible sources available in the Candidates tab, where you can easily find people who meet the criteria you specify. This is done with the search engine available above the list of candidates including:

  • basic version (Simple search),

  • extended version (Advanced search):

How does a simple search work?

Simple search allows you to locate candidates with desired keywords anywhere on the profile.

You can search for 1 word, but also for a whole phrase - consisting of several words.

Suppose you enter a whole phrase in the search field. In that case, the search engine will insert an AND operator between the fields - that is, it will look for people who have all the search words on their profile, but not necessarily in that order and not necessarily placed in one place (e.g., one in a note and one in tags).

Any examples?

If you type the phrase project manager into the search engine, it will display a list of people who have both the word project and manager on their profile (not necessarily together):

People with keywords included in the entered phrases entered will also be found.

Any examples?

If you type the phrase project manager into a search engine, you will also see people with keywords such as managers, projects, etc. on their profiles in the search results. You can see this in the screenshot above.

We show the context in which these keywords occurred to make it easier to evaluate whether this person meets your expectations.

If you enter a whole phrase in quotation marks in the search field, the search engine will only find people with the exact phrase you entered on their profile.

Any examples?

If you type the phrase "project manager" into the search engine, you will see a list of people who have this exact phrase on their profile:

How does advanced search work?

Advanced search will allow you to find people by creating queries containing boolean operators: AND, OR, and NOT.

It allows you to:

  • find candidates with precise keywords on their profiles

  • find candidates who have several keywords you are looking for on their profile

  • find candidates who have at least 1 keyword you are looking for on their profile (e.g., when 1 word can be written in several ways or different languages),

  • exclude people who have the indicated keywords on their profile

  • search on the candidate's entire profile or in selected information about the candidate (e.g., only in notes).

This is what a sample query looks like

TIPS

  1. You can search for candidates only by a part of a keyword if it can have multiple variations - using the * sign at the beginning or end of the phrase. Then in the search results, you will find people having phrases containing the indicated text in the content.

If you type manag* in the search engine, you will see in the results people who have phrases such as management, managing, manager, etc. on their profiles.

  2. If you want to search for a whole phrase consisting of several words - type it in the desired field and press ENTER:

3. You can indicate which fields you want to search in - or which ones to exclude from your search by expanding the list of options available next to the Search all fields:
